Neighbors Credit Union is seeking a Universal Teller for our Howdershell branch.

The Universal Teller assists members by offering the appropriate products and services to meet their needs. Works between the teller and MSR departments based on the day to day need of the branch. Helps manage the teller line in supervisor’s absence.

  • Process all member financial transactions accurately including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and other negotiable instruments. 
  • Open a variety of new accounts & loans and cross sale products and services to meet member’s needs.
  • Perform daily sales activities in order to provide excellent service and meet sales goals.
  • Work with employees to resolve complaints and provide overrides as needed.
  • Perform the responsibilities of the Teller Supervisor in his/her absence.
  • Help audit the vault, ATM & teller drawers.
  • Provide member assistance to problems of a more complex nature to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Accurately post transactions and complete documentation for members and maintain records for a clear audit trail.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and security guidelines.





Successful candidates will have a minimum of six months experience as a teller or new account representative in a financial institution.  Proven ability to meet sales goals and complete tasks as assigned.  Entrusted with increasing levels of responsibility. Lending experience preferred.

Must be a team player and exhibit the ability to effectively communicate with courtesy, tact and diplomacy. Candidates must be detail oriented and dependable.

Total compensation for this full-time position includes competitive base pay, monthly incentives, medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) with matching contributions, and paid vacation, sick time and holidays.
