Responsibilities

 

  •  Manages the branch located in our administrative office. Reviews branch profitability reports and develops strategies for branch growth and continued profitability.
  • Coaches MSRs and tellers to determine members’ financial needs and offer appropriate credit union products or services. Sets branch sales initiatives to contribute to branch growth and achieve sales goals.
  • Creates and leads a high performing sales team. Effectively schedules, trains, coaches, supervises, evaluates and develops staff. Promotes positive attitudes, teamwork, professionalism, accuracy, efficiency, and desire to offer credit union services in employees.
  • Implements strategies and procedures to ensure high quality service to our members. Ensures staff is properly trained to provide accurate information and quality work. Trains staff to provide an awesome member experience.
  • Maintains a strong compliance program that ensures high scoring branch audits and compliance with board policy and government regulations.
  • Creates credit union awareness in the community by attending community events, participating in Chamber functions, making business visits and supporting local schools in financial literacy initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the lending or member service area of a credit union or other financial institution. Two years of supervisory experience required.
  • Bachelor degree (preferably business or related major) or equivalent work or educational experience.
  • Proven track record of sales coaching and managing an effective sales team.
  • Knowledge of managerial techniques, operations, procedures, principles of lending and collections, marketing and the credit union philosophy.
  • Ability to make decisions and supervise subordinates effectively.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to communicate well with subordinates, associates and members.
  • Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. This work involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization.
