Responsibilities

  • Minimize delinquency and loan loss for the Credit Union’s Loan Portfolio
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
  • Assist in handling member inquiries and loan discrepancy calls, letters and emails
  • Make outbound calls and speak for long periods of time in a fast paced goal oriented environment
  • Negotiate repayment plans
  • Make suggestions and recommendations to offer workout solutions to delinquent members when the result is in the best interst of the Credit Union and member
  • Must keep member and credit union business strictly confidential
  • Must be able to work independantly in a high energy structured environment
  • No evenings or weekends

Qualifications

  • Ttwo years collection experience in a credit union or financial institution
  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree or equivalent preferred

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of collection policies and procedures of Auto Loans, Unsecured Loans, Lines of Credit, Mortgage Loans and Credit Cards
  • Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA and other Consumer Finance Laws
  • Knowledge of Repossession procedures for Missouri and Illinois a plus
  • Knowledge of Deposit accounts and Overdraft Protection
