Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as primary contact with all parties on individual loans originated from application to closing which includes, but not limited to:

- Counseling and prequalifying potential members

- Completing applications

- Obtaining all necessary support documents

- Overseeing loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms

- Assisting in collecting additional documents and communicating loan status to all parties

- Providing guidance to loan processors regarding coordination of workflow and files in progress

- Closing the mortgage loan.

  • Primarily responsible for increasing volume from branch staff at our two brand new branches in Manchester and Ellisville, while having flexible floating office space and working outside of the credit union to develop external business partners to gain business for non-credit union members
  • Maintain current knowledge on mortgage products, underwriting guidelines and industry regulations
  • Establish and maintain member referral relationships with realtors, builders, developers, and others
  • Able to develop new business without supervision

Qualifications

  • Two years prior mortgage experience
  • Experience with secondary market originating and underwriting guidelines
  • Knowledge of required compliance regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Encompass software experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites
