Responsibilities

  • Lead a successful team of tellers to provide “extra mile” service
  • Develop employees' sales and service skills that build trusting and long-term relationships with our members
  • Develop a motivating environment that encourages tellers to perform their best with enthusiasm
  • Lead the team to achieve monthly and annual referral goals
  • Manage department duties and responsibilities. Ensure that the department functions within Credit Union policies and state and federal regulations

 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of six months experience as a teller in a credit union or other financial institution, or have other appropriate cash handling or service experience
  • Minimum of three years of teller experience with some supervisory experience is preferred
  • Must have proven member relation skills
  • Must be able to work efficiently in extremely busy situations
  • Must be able to manage tellers and cooperate with management with diplomacy and tact
  • Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. The work involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization
  • Must be good with details to deal with numbers and names
  • Must use a ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of credit union products and philosophy
